Warrington!!!

Just back from a weekend run to Englandville.

Firstly to my mothers and stepdads in Warrington, What a fucking shithole.

Granted , I've probably not seen the nicer sides of this place, They live right next to the TA Base. Fookin hell I'd want to do myself in if I lived there.
Then over to the Wirral to see my dad (Barrie) and his wife,Joan,
Tried to sit on his Bird but I cant move the gear selector:bang:

Sat on his Pan european ......I think I could do that. Roads were damp so I didn't feel confident to take it out, but I think I might end up with an older Pan to get myself back on two wheels to start with. Might still be 6 months or so away though. Wouldn't want to wait too long and lose 9 years ncd!!!

Based on the fact that I cant drive more than 80 miles in my automatic car before the pain becomes unbearable, the bike wont be on the cards for a while

Any way 560 mile round trip and an average 29mpg in the BMW 523i se auto!
Quite pleased with that as I only usually get about 17mpg around town.

A milestone in thinking, with a bit of realistic practice thrown in (trying on yer Dads Bird). A quantum step forward based on a few months ago

Congrats to you, sincerely. It's only a matter of time now.... your determination confirms this!

Rob, the only thing Neil is really determined to do is nick my 'bird. If he wasn't a prison officer trained in restraint I would smack him. b0x2

I had a seat on a 1100gs last weekend.I really struggled to lift it off the side stand whilst seated. So thats out.
The pan was fairly light in comparison.
I may well get a moped or similar to keep my ncd. Am I right in thinking that I,ve got up to 2 years before I lose it? Or does it depend on the company?

I used to have a Fs1e when I wes about 14. It was a minter and was had for ?40. Used it for about 3 years off road and totally fooked it.

Didn't realise what a classic I had at the time.
Is your for sale Rhino or was that an offer to borrow it?

silly question really, as it seems that, where your concerned EVERYTHING is for sale, whether you want to or not..:p

Cheers Alan, Glad to see the locals agree.

I wasn't too impressed with the place on my first visit a couple of years ago, and nothing much has changed to alter my opinion now.

We stayed at the town centre Travellodge..They wanted ?5 for parking!!When I asked why, The receptionist said well you can park on the road at your own risk.

Usually expect ten year olds to "offer to look after your car mister" in rough areas. Fekin hotels are at it there:rolleyes:

Have you checked that garage where you "found" the Alpha?

LOL, it won't be there, trust me..

Can't remember where it went but i'd hate to get it nicked, if i remember where i put it and then find it's gone i'll go mad.

(we need a 'searching high and low' smiley) :dunno:
