Decided on the motorway route down to Brecon (Cwm) so as we can spend 2-3 hours there without arriving late evening, but we can easily go the scenic way if theres time.. Which route do you suggest to go down Rolfy

This trip was supposed to be a shakedown for the touring season but the way winter is hanging in we look like doing the shake down with the main event lol
We will be looking to go as soon as the weather settles..trying to think positive again lol..

looking forward to this now so maybe the bad weather at easter was a blessing in disguise h1d1ng2

Well, if the decided time fits in with us as well, the route I would suggest for you is...

Nottingham (or where you live) - A42/ M42/M5/A456 to
Kidderminster to collect us...LOL

Then out through Tenbury Wells (lovely switchback of a road :lick down to Leominster, then on to Glasbury, then Brecon....(nice sweepy quick roads).

Just let us know which weekend, then we will arrange it.. If you want to stop at our place on the Friday evening/night, you are most welcome.

Update...

looking at the first FINE weekend to come along in April if thats any good to anyone .. hopfully be able to give 5 - 6 days notice so this comming weekend is not included ..

Hollidays sorted at work so we have decided to come down on the weekend of the Friday 25th- Sat 26h - Sun 27 April

Havent booked the B&Bs yet but will do in the next week or so ..

Rolfy, Bluey, Bitontheside ... are these dates any good to you .. would be nice

B&B's

What is it with booking accommodation in this country ...
Every hotel, B&B Ive contacted want a minimum of two nights booking..
some of them have all rooms available but they still wont let you book a single night (we want two rooms as well)

I am also in the process of booking our le mans and Brittany trip for May and life is sooo much easier and simple.. :bow:

Any one recommend anywhere in the Crick howell and Betsw y coed areas please ..


Rolphy we can meet up where you like mate.. are you thinking of overnighting with us or just the one day ..

we can come collect you on the way down if you like, as long as I get 2/3 hours visiting Cwm I dont mind which route we take R#?

Saturday we will be starting from Crickhowell area Frank, and taking the Elan valley route up to Aberystwyth and then onto Snowdonia .. as per the route in the pictures..

post your email Frank and I can send you the final GPS route ..

will be nice if you can join us mate...

NB: are the roads in Wales big enough to cope with all these bikes in one go
