Hi! all. Some time ago I had an 05 Blackbird that I fitted VFR800 Vtech bars to . This really made a difference to my poor old back.
I am in the process of buying an older Carb version and was wondering if anyone had fitted these bars to the older model. Just not too sure if they will fit.

Funny enough I am playing around with my bars on my Bird to try and get the right fit.

I have just swapped a VFR800FI (which had bar risers) for a Blackbird and I find the reach a little bit too long (I?m a short arse 5? 7?) for me.
I have fitted a set of Jaws bar risers, which has helped a little although my arms are still at full stretch.

I have just bought a pair of Heli Bars for a V-Tec of a guy on the VFR site so hopefully that will do the trick as not only do the raise the bars but reduce the reach by inch and a half.

So in a couple of weeks there may be a pair of Jaws risers up for sale!

Yes, they'll fit. I've just fitted the VFR VTEC bars on top of Jaws risers on my '97 carbed Bird - pretty much perfect for me (6'0, bit flabby, knackered back). I did have to remove the tabs on clutch & brake master cylinders to rotate the lines a little, as well as tweaking the throttle cables and drilling the left VFR bar for a locating tab on the switchgear - right bar already has the hole.

I have an XXW carbed bird. Would like to raise the bars a bit for more comfort, without drilling, cuting etc.
What are my options?

Many thanks

I may be selling my vfr bars (fitted to my '99 bird) as I don't like how close they are to the tank on full lock. Once I have enough money to buy Jaws risers and tried them I will decide what to do.
