I agree, not a bad price - lots of the things that improve the Bird appear to have been done, as for the tat like 'carbon dipped' bits it is in the eye of the beholder - certainly doesn't add value to any bike though. Luggage only has a value if you want/need it or are happy to have the hassle of selling.

Birds are pretty bulletproof - a tatty bike that is good mechanically can be had for less than £1500. Personally I struggle to see any Bird being worth more than £4K at a dealer, less private.

Do you realise how far away that Bird is - couldn't be much further from you and still be in the uk!!

And I quote "Year: 2205" - a future bike - brought back from a time traveller, perhaps? 45600 miles?
I think that's way over-priced - but, I only paid 400 quid for mine with 55k miles (total cost on the road £835)... but, I'm a penny-pinching old git...

Hmmmmm...I did that with my second Bird....got the train to Wales then 220 mile ride home in pretty dreadful weather.

Worst ride of my life...strange bike that didn't feel at all right. In the next couple of weeks I discovered sticky chain, no oil in one fork leg and under inflated tyres (despite the well known on here seller confirming he had put them to 42psi as requested before collection). Oh, and very dodgy diy bodge wiring under the seat.

Personally I wouldn't collect another bike like that. Not that I will be getting another one....

    Point of order sir !

    Pikeys historically are Romany
Those from Eire are Irish Tinkers
The two are completely different to the point that both sides of the coin dislike the other with a passion!

If the letting agent renews their contract in August, I'm going to fire-bomb their office! Or send Beaker round. Haven't made my mind up yet, depends what mood I'm in and how evil I'm feeling.
