w;;v Hello everyone. This is the first time that I have posted a thread so that makes me the lastest newbie. I am travelling to the last round of the 05 season with a mate and the girls. We are travelling from Roscoff to Alicante and would be very grateful for any info on the route.
Cheers

Too many options mate. Ya need to be more specific. What sort of roads d'ay wanna ride?
How many days you over for and how many days d'ya wanna ride for/spend at the Cheste.
The circuit is at Cheste (about 30 minutes outside of Valencia).
I've been on 4 occasions and will be going this year too

Cheers guys thanks for responding to my original question. Now to be more specific. We will be travelling by bike and have three days to get down to our accomodation in Alicante. On route we will hotel it each night and I gather the journey is about 1100 miles in distance each way, so we will need to cover 370 (ish) a day. The route as far as I can see would need to be fairly quick to save on numb bum syndrome. So (Dirty Sanchez) in your experience is there a route that you would recommend preferably staying of the toll roads if the other roads are quick enough. One final question do you know if the hotels in Spain are similar to the cheap ones in France (Formula 1, IBIS etc).

Many Thanks

:yo:

Mate, I never use toll roads, but you've only got 3 days to get to Alicante; that's a challenge without using them! Personally, given your situation (pillion, etc), I'd blat it through France and head for Andorra on the N20. Avoid the tunnel & head for Andorra la Vella. Then follow the 145 to Le Seu d'Urgell (do not head follow the directions to Barcelona). As you leave Le Seu d'Urgell on the N260 you need to take the C14 to Organya, Oliana, Ponts, Artesa de Segre, Agramut, Tarrega, Solivella, Montblanc, Reus. At Reus you can then pick up the N340 coast road south or the A7 toll road south; the choice is yours.
However, check the weather forcast for Andorra in November!
Hotels in Spain are as cheap, but probably better quality than those in France as the rating system in Spain is more demanding. The Spanish chain "HB" represent good value for money. Ibis hotels can be found in Spain too, but personally I'd go with the flow and look for independant hotels; you're never far away from one. If you wanna go a bit upmarket, stay at a Parador.
