I did that in 2005. spent ages typing the route in then lost it when I accidentally googled the street where we stayed.:xm

Rode down there in 3 days which wasn't really long enough cos it was 3XX miles and 12 hours a day.
calais, abbeville, rouen, evreux, dreux, chartres, orleans, chateuroux, limoges, n21 perigueux, bergerac, marmande, mont-de-marsan, pau, tunnel du somport, triste, ayerbe, huesca, zaragoza, teruel, valencia

valencia, barcelona, puigcerda, pamieres, toulouse, monttauban, brive, limoge, chateuroux, orleans, chartres, dreux, evreux, rouen, boulogne, calais

stick that in google maps/tomtom. We just had paper maps back then.
Stayed in a hotel in calle de sueca opposite the 'grizzly biker bar' if it still exists. We didn't condsider ourselves 'grizzly enough' to go in it.

The roads were nice near Bergerac and then really nice after getting through the tunnel into spain. It was november so the weather was fairly shitty in most of france.

The best corner is at the end of the pit straight (IMO) and of course the grandstand alongside it (just as they exit the pits) as here you are very close to the track & they are flat out approaching this corner.

BTW we are based about 45mins from Cheste.
