For all those attending the BASH weekend..........

Jan & I are feeling absolutely exhasperated at the moment...

We have just had our second catering van pull out with hardly any warning Just a text message ...

We have available, a fully equiped catering kitchen within the social club complex... This is available to everyone who is camping to do their own cooking if they want to...

The question is this...

1.....Do Jan & I still try to get a catering caravan (ie a butty van ) to come and do bacon butties/burgers etc for brekkie and tea.

OR

2.....
Do we say "bugger it", and use the facilities available to us (with a well stocked supermarket & greengrocers within 100yards of the site) and the TWO bikers cafes aprroximately 1.5 miles down the road. Also, you have a choice of three pubs, and a Chinese chippy to use as well for main meals.

We will leave it up to you lot to decide. Please can you let us know by the end of play this Friday ???

If we come up with another caterer in the meantime, we will let you know.

I shouldnt need to ask, but, constructive comments pleeeeease...

Best wishes to all,

Dave & Jan

number 2 so stop worrying, there?s plenty of places to get food around and no one will starve, you cant cover for :wank: letting you down, anyway as long as the beer don?t run out.

this is my opinion because Pam says it is

Chill Dave,

For my twopence worth, use the facillities open to us.

Everyone tries to convince the fun of camping is roughing it, so lets give it a go.

I'll go with the ' use what we can and self cater / pub / chippy' route.
You have done what you can ( and more).
So I have no problem with Eddie doing my cooking

As has been said Dave you can't account for people letting you down at the last minute obviously the caterer doesn't need the money if he can afford to turn something of this scale down, don't worry Dave I'm sure nobody will starve.

+1 to the others so far - go for number 2. Yes, having something on site would have been nice, but it's hardly essential when we've got facilities and anything we need is within a few minutes anyway. If necessary I've got some (only a little, but better than nothing!) fridge space just off the M54 in Wolverhampton, so can store stuff if needed - working during the daytime, but I'll be along to the campsite for all the evening fun so can bring stuff along then.

That would be nice... And its only an hour down the road for them...I'll even put some dosh in for fuel for them to help with costs. Let me know either way.

If the luv goddess cant get the van, then it seems we'll go with the "stuff em" decision... I may even ask our Suzie if we can install her in the kitchen & she can do the brekkies. Most kids will do anything to earn a crust...LOL

Well post how we get on later in week.

Cheers for your support peeps.
