I feel like a rant this morning, I'm expecting a delivery which is coming via UPS, they sent me an email to say they will deliver it today, so Saturday I went on line and changed delivery to Thursday when I will be in all day, got confirmation it would be delivered on Thursday.

Got email this morning saying they will deliver tomorrow, on phone for 15 mins before they finally said they would deliver Thursday.

Rant over

Three weeks ago a mate sent me a bottle of rum via UPS.
A week ago he emailed to ask what I thought of the rum. "Never received it", I said.
He got onto UPS who said that they couldn't find the address.
He sent me a screenshot of the delivery details and strangely the address was correct. We live in a short road, which every other brand of delivery driver finds without any bother.
Meanwhile he emailed me the UPS tracking number. I checked online and they'd supposedly tried to deliver but had failed to find the address so returned it to the depot.
I couldn't get any more info without creating an account on their website.
I did this only to find that the tracking details said that they were in the process of contacting the recipient (me) to arrange delivery. Difficult with supposedly no idea where my address was and no phone number to call me.... :BangHead:
Meanwhile it had sat in their depot for nearly two weeks being scanned daily.

I also couldn't arrange a redelivery or collection without the number on the card that they would have posted through the door....if they'd found the address where I live. :bash:
I tried phoning the depot but it went to an automated centralised UPS number where there was no option to contact the depot or talk to a human.

Eventually he was able to get them to schedule a redelivery. They quoted a specific day, but no time slot. But in the end they delivered about 08:30.

I’m waiting for a couple of exhaust clamps via MyHerpes. Over a week ago it showed redirected to wrong depot- then ‘on hold’ I’m not yet desperate for them as I’m waiting for a few more bits which may take a week anyway. But it’s the principal of it.

A few days ago I ordered a starter motor from Devon & a quick shifter from Italy they both turned up today at 9am :p no complaints but I do wonder how stuff can get from Italy as quick as it can get from Devon :nusenuse:

If you look at a map of Italy, you will see it’s shaped like a boot - it got drop kicked up to you.

Q. Why is Italy shaped like a boot?

a. Cos they couldn’t get that much crap into a sandal

Just had an email from canon to let me know UPS could not deliver my parcel as they had an invalid address, I phoned canon who checked the address and I told them I know where I live as I've been here 18 years, rant over

I got and email saying that they couldn't deliver because they needed phone number.

I tried to phone them but couldn't get through so I replied with phone no.
There was a message on the line giving depot address to write to.

Then I got the above.

At present there are serious scams with Bank of Ireland. One guy lost €27,000.
They phone you saying that there is somebody trying to access your account.
They ask to confirm details.

One man asked his wife to phone the number while he was on the call and it gave the bank automatic reply.

I never ever give any details/info to any caller regardless of who they say they are.

I always ask their name and say I'll call them.
Never using any number they may give me, always check/find the number myself.

These callers can *spoof" numbers be and make it look like they're calling from any number.

I've had them spoof the bank's own fraud number!
Bank's know it's happening but apparently don't know how to stop it.

I also have all calls where the number is withheld rejected.

I googled canon to find their customer service No

But guess what, the parcel that couldn't be delivered has now turned up, I spoke to the driver and he said he wasn't surprised and not to take any notice of the email :BangHead:
