I had an RX8 a couple of years back. It was a 40th Anniversary edition. I had the engine ported, decatted etc, and ran two stroke oil in the fuel......it absolutely stunk and I loved it. My wife hated it with a passion :D. Great fun car though.

Sold it then bought an Audi TTS. Tuned that up to 320bhp with a race clutch fitted which was rather enjoyable. 0-60 was around 4.8secs.

If it wasn't for cars and bikes I would of been rich :D

I do like the current TT.

Especially the V6 4wd job.

Years ago, probably the 1980s, pOne of my aunts was out shopping and went home to tell my uncle 'I have just seen a gorgeous colour car for sale'.

Sensing an opportunity, albeit without any great hope, he went to,see what she was on about and was delighted to,see it was a sort of purply pinky grey, metallic Audi Quattro.....he did the decent thing and bought it, my aunt was chuffed that she cared so much about her he bought it.

Many knowing glances exchanged between me and my uncle over that one...

Grey or white one..?

I've a red '08 231 with the very fetching red and black seats :D. Last of the 1st Gen models.

Racing Beat race airbox with Revi K&N intake kit and cold air scoop, Racing Beat manifold and race exhaust....plus the usual uprated leads, coil packs and iridium plugs (feckin' expensive compared to the iridium plugs for the Bird..!) I use Castrol A747 every other tankful.

She's stock otherwise.... I've had plans for ages to replace the gearbox with an MX5 one and get the engine ported (given half a chance, I could cheerfully bankrupt myself on that car) , but as I've just gone self employed I need the money for other things.

Although my missus loves the car and has her own bike, she's got waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much mechanical sympathy. I'm forever saying "more revs, more revs...!" (sometimes we're even in the car when I say it....:p).

Shit, my RX8 puts out more horsepower and can do the 60 in just under 7 secs.... all on 2 cylinders and 1300cc. No wonder you're dumping it...!

I see you paid for the optional "Courtesy Pack".... the indicator stalk. Looks unused though. :D
0-60 in just under 7 seconds? Not sure I’d be writing that down on a public forum.

My bog standard sensible, practical, pink, diesel hearse is faster than this, too :p

That was certified timed runs at Bruntingthorpe. TCS off. Fastest time was 6.2, slowest was 6.8. Not bad for a normally aspirated 1300cc with just 2 cylinders. ;)

Would that be a TURBO'D diesel...? :D

Is it really a 1.3 though? I’ve read much debate on that and, whilst it’s considered a 1.3 because of its displacement, it’s also a 2.6 because the rotary engine has two power cycles compared to a piston engine’s one. So there.

A twin-turbo diesel, but at 1.7 tonnes and an estate car it’s much heavier than yours.

I've had this "discussion" with Beaker some time ago and I know you wouldn't want to take his side....so we can agree that it's 1300cc. :D

TWO turbos....to shunt 1.7 tonnes of lard around.....!!!! Jeez, Me! was right.....you really are a fat bastid....

Did anyone notice that Beaker spelled "Eunuch" wrong, in the title of this thread?
