And another Blackbird gets the all clear...………………….
Based on the information that you have provided we can confirm that your vehicle meets the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) emissions standards.
This means you will not need to pay an ULEZ charge to travel in the zone, from 8 April 2019.

Judging from the content of this thread the whole thing is a farce with taxpayers money being wasted all over the place.

Now there's a surprise.....

Just check mine on the "Check your vehicle" site which comes back as...…………………..
No LEZ charge due for this vehicle
This vehicle either meets the required emission standards, is exempt from the scheme or is subject to a 100% discount

My ‘Bird has to pay £12.50 per day in the ULEZ but no charge in the LEZ.

Sorry, should have put both down...………………
Quote,
No ULEZ charge due for this vehicle
This vehicle meets the emission standards for ULEZ so you don't have to pay this charge when driving within the zone.

Please note, As confirmed by ScottyUK Honda will provide a CoC for any Blackbird 2001 or newer as this is all that was tracked in their database. Honda admin fee is £30 (£25 + VAT). For earlier models you will have to do the ULEZ test for £175. If it's of help my '97 Bird with carbs (38K) passed just last week so I don't any issues for a stock bike in good condition.

And that is the issue for most folk.... The £175.
I do not have a problem with the concept, I do have a problem with what amounts to stealing peoples money.
A max charge of £40 should be the limit, which would more than cover the ( 7 minute ) test and the paper work

Wow...that's changed.
I got mine for free a few years back when I was trying to find out where the bike originally came from.

Wow! Had no idea they started charging! I get that they have costs of printing, posting etc. They could have just emailed people!

Well I've just had an email telling me :-

"Your request to register your vehicle as compliant with the Ultra Low Emission Zone has been successful."

That's for my 2003 Blackbird and it hasn't cost me anything to get it.

The Certificate of Conformity was obtained from Honda via https://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/my-bike/certificate-conformity.html Fill the form in and Honda sends it to via TNT from Bulgaria.

Copy it and your V5 and apply to TFL.

Now all I need is a reason to take the bike into London.

Don't forget that the ULEZ expands in October 2021 to the boundary of the North and South Circular Roads.
