Now I'm sure I read at least one post from a member who said he added another bike to his Honda Insurance Policy... seem also to vaguely remember him saying it cost ?18, or perhaps ?28, to adjust the policy for the inclusion of the second bike?

I rang Honda Ins today to add my second Bird and..... "I'm sorry Sir, you cannot add a second bike to an existing policy. We can start another policy and you may get some discount as you're an existing policy holder. Would you like me to put you thru to the quotes dept..."?

So, has anyone added a second bike to the much acclaimed Honda Insurance shceme???

Rob I have just tried excactly the same as you and got the same reply, cept they wanted an extra ?130 for a '84 Yamaha XJ650!

I do remember the post you mention, think it was a KTM for an extra ?18.

Clive - No, I didn't bother with a quote as it's another Bird, and with only some moderate discount for an existing policyholder, I didn't bother. It was only to tax the second Bird which I have for sale.

Codbasher - You too huh. Strange how these ideas get about but then don't work when you try them. They offered to terminate my present policy and start a new multibike policy. Maybe that was what the original postee had done from the start... abit like Clive above.

I am going to ring around and get a TP only or TPF&T on the Yammy from another broker, I only want it on the road for the winter, low miles etc, Honda's loss my gain I guess.

Motorcycle Direct, as they now do multi-bike policies.

I have both my Yamahas insured fully comp for under ?225, that's the TRX850 and the Thunderace. Both are "highish" insurance groups.

Gotta be worth the price of a call at least. 0870 755 8250

Cheers Mikew, will try them ASAP, but will only insure the Yammy, dont want to cancel Honda yet, in case it incurs a charge etc. Just need a short term poilcy for the winter.

Could cracks be showing with Honda????

Two bike insurance

I have both my bikes with Carol Nash - I just added the CBR1000 to the Pan policy - done and dusted in about 2 minutes!
