I’m actually thinking Magistrates court, thought there was a tube station there.

Nope.

Nearest is Covent Garden.

There is an unused tube station on The Strand just at the end of Waterloo Nridge that closed years ago, think it may have been called, cunningly 'Strand'. You still pass through it when using District and Circle lines.
