It’ll be like riding with a permanent misfire :sisi1

I currently own two Triumphs, one 3 cylinder 955i & one 4 cylinder carbed 1200. the 3 sounds sweet, the 4 a bit like a tractor when on tickover.

It was explained to me once that the 4 cylinder engine is basically a 3 cyl one with the 4th cylinder tacked on to the side, physically as well as electronically, which is why it sounds odd.

Once on the road though & the 4 pulls like a train & while not as sweet sounding as a Bird (not many bikes are), still sounds good, especially with Delkevic end cans.

Had the 4 cyl 1200 (daytona?) absolutely loved it, rode a 3 cyl tiger and sprint quite a bit but must say the 1050 knocks them all into a cocked hat

I was told by one of the original development engineers that the motor was based on a gpz/zzr with a cylinder lopped off for the triples :nusenuse:

I must admit the three pot Tiger sounds amazing when going large.. Sort of sounds like a Spitfire ( plane )
But I am afraid after me brief sojorn in to Trumpet ownership, I will NEVER buy another
Did not really rate the finish, or the riding position. but above all def did not rate dealing with the company or he Harley'esque culture I found came with ownership

Got to go on Sprint GT SE today.
Didn't take to it.
Even with high screen it's very windy.
Seemed to want to go straight rather than around corners. Could be tyres but I think I saw something in review about that.

21,000 miles but no mention of valve check in service book - serviced in UK, can't remember where. Odd note was 1litre of coolant????.
Expansion vessel up front beside clocks.

Speedo illegible to older people.

Was bought in from BMW dealer in Dublin. Traded in for BMW.
