Here's a few slides I put together from our '07 South Island Tour. The SI is about the same area as England with 1 million population and not many cops - a paradise for bikers, as experienced by our own Russ Fae Fyvie a few weeks ago.

Always a bed in the North Island for any BIRD member who holidays over here. I live on one of the best biking roads up north - the Coromandel Loop:yo:

Will email you later today Steve. Assume the classic racing you mention is at Pukekohe, just south of Auckland (about 45 minutes from Hamilton). We live less than 2 hours from there.
