Yup.

  1. There's a pandemic
  2. Take a spare reg/ref with you and put a fresh battery in before you leave. Tons of info in the Help section which is where this thread is being moved to
  3. Personally I would recommend and aftermarket seat as in my experience they are so much more comfortable than the standard one which feels like a plank after you try an alternative

I’d suggest a quality breakdown/repatriation insurance that will accept an obsolete old hack on its books. I’ve got a feeling in the back of my mind that the AA European cover has an age limit.

They have.... you will struggle to find anyone who will give you european breakdown on any bike over 15 yrs old.
I found one linked to normal insurance that I have used for years.... tho never had to use it.... it is a Honda blackbird after all.

Carole Nash are the only one I have found that will give european cover to bikes over 15 yrs old.
My bird is 21 this year and they still cover it for breakdown in europe, but that is part of the whole insurance package.

Nash and AXA are connected somehow.
I am with AXA but one time I got a few other quotes. When I went to pay for AXA she said something like "is that with Carol Nash"
Seems it showed up on my AXA data that I had a quote from Nash.
Makes you wonder.

If you use on line comparison sites the insurers can see the information and all the quotes/details
