Thanks Steve...
I had a look at various bikes, I quite fancied the Bandit 1200, but when we both sat on it at the NEC the wife was not very happy with the seat and the amount of room she had, whereas with the Fazer and FJR she was comfy and had bags of room.
In the end I decided purely from a practicality point of view that overall, and for the amount of touring I would be doing ( in reality maybe :dunno: once a year) most of my riding was in and out of west end/ city, occasional M40 or M1 that the Fazer was best all round choice.
The FJR whilst a great bike like the Pan was, in reality not practical for my needs.
I have ordered the slightly larger touring screen for it... bought it from Infinity who are doing really great deals at the moment on the Fazer 1000...
Interest Free credit for the term of the loan up to 60 months if needed, with a ?99.00 deposit. I chose a shorter period an a larger deposit.
Also included in the deal are
An Arai Astro helmet Value ?330.00,
Datatool system 3 alarm ?299.00
I didn't need the Arai helmet. but did want bluetooth comms helmet to helmet, which Vermar has.
So I bought two vermar bluetooth helmets Shop price ?349.00 each, full face and flip front ( at NEC prices ?250.00 flip front ?199.00 Full face), their director who I spoke with at the NEC said that he would honor those prices at their shop when I bought the bike. When I bought the two Vermar helmets they took away the value of the Arai and priced them at Show prices ended up costing me only ?119.00. for essentially ?700.00 of crash helmets.
add to this the saving of at least ?900.00 of the interest and fees that blackhorse would normally charge and the free datatool 3 system.
As they say in the states do the math
Finance saving ?900.00 approx including fees
Helemt saving ?581.00
Alarm system ?299.00
I make that ?1780
take that from the price of the bike ?6999 = ?5219.00 now you must admit that aint bad for a brand new Fazer 1000
I would say that Infinity are currently doing a STONKING deal on Fazer 1000's :yo: :yo: :yo:
I will have a chat with Joe, I'm sure he will advise accordingly.
And before anyone asks, the answer is No I have asolutley no connection with Infinity Motorcycles.
Dunno how they are doing it but the deal is good... :dunno:
