A building plot.

At last:). After many years of looking and failed attempts this one popped up a five minute walk away and everything dropped into place.

I was thinking of that but the Civets are caged for their shit and it's a pretty cruel process and the coffee is apparently disappointing. Be careful which one you buy, the proper free-range organic is supposed to be the best. If memory serves, it's supposed to be the most expensive coffee out there.
Have just tried the coffee! Taste's just like Nescafe instant! Nothing special!

just for a change .................... another bayonet :)

Not done a lot of research on it yet as its in real "relic" condition but it seems to to be Italian 1870-71 pattern & probably factory shortened around 1916 then not touched since

Ps if any of you guys & girls have a genuine old bayonet ww2 or before or any military knives of any age I would be interested to see them as this has most certainly taken over from the bikes now due to my health & my love of history

ps if you spot any for sale across intertwat land or locally to you please shout up

You need to be introduced to my brother in law, he collects war memorabilia particularly German, he has mannequins with uniform, bayonets, luger etc.

If he wants to play at dress up the dolly then it would be cheaper and take up less space if he bought an Action Man.

I love to see old collections, my own previous collection ran to some 60+ pieces at one point

If we show him pics of my ersatz bayonet with german stamped matching bayonet & scabbard numbers to the 4 MG regiment & he will probably have a little sex wee :jaja-no:
German marked is very rare for that particular bayonet, matching rack numbers for blade scabbard is doubly rare, it would be worth a lot of money if the condition was better but its still a desirable piece that cost me pennies
:) Small bet with you Derek he will have a K98 or two ;)

Loads of war memorabilia out there but a lot of fakes too so knowledge is everything, a lot of people limit themselves to a specific period for that reason
For bayonets I am mainly interested in (allied or axis ) to the end of ww2 or anything bladed before that, later stuff that holds interest for me is military pocket knives/jack knives & ones from certain makers that I want or can trade for item from the pre 45 period

I think I have done well with German, Swedish & Italian that fit the above & are all well over 100 years old all in a couple of weeks

Some treats for the pup, another chew toy, a couple of spare leads and a throw for the sofa for when she decides she prefers it to her bed.

Mrs P bought a wine chiller for the kitchen.
