Bev makes a better lasagne than I do, I have to be in the mood for lasagne to be honest, prefer bolognese.

Bought an OS Explorer map of the local area, so I can explore other less obvious footpaths & byways.

While most land owners around here are very good & have marked the footpaths crossing their land, the odd one has let their hedges grow over the signposts & at least one path has been blocked.

Now I know which ones are genuine paths, I think I'll go for a walk this afternoon.

In my limited experience parish councils have good information on what's what in terms of footpaths, presumably as they are responsible for them??

County Councils (or the equivalent Unitary Authority) are generally the best source of information about Rights of Way paths as they're responsible for them. Most now publish them on their websites.
Google "rights of way map" and the name of your county council.

These two are also worth a look...

Where i'm from one particular farmer would regularly string barbed wire across footpaths on his land & we would regularly cut it down & take it away, same thing happened when he fenced across a bridleway not only was it taken down but it was removed, the county council wouldn't do a thing about it & neither would the police until he strung a wire across a path & took a young girl off her horse, her dad gave him a damn good kicking before handing him over to the police, he (farmer) got a month in jail & a hefty fine & that stopped his shenanigans

Do you mean a pair?
:eusa_whistle:
Nope.

Golfists only wear a glove on one hand. For right handed golfers it is the left hand as that is the dominant one in terms of gripping the club.

Some golfists take their glove off for putting asnthey feel it improves their 'touch'. I leave mine on.

And you thought Derek's thread about his rack was hard work:p

BEAKS, did you not spot the whistling man before you bumbled in with your explanation?
I used to play golf until my swing improved too much and I could no longer see the ball land!
(At least I think that was the problem!)
