All this would do is make them feel full but seeing as ducks can shit for a living then this wouldn’t be a problem for long.
If you are bringing friction into the equation then it would be nothing more than a glancing blow which to a duck would be nothing more than a leaf falling from a tree.
if they are on land then they would leap up & bullet header the bread straight into the pond.
As I understand it bread doesn't deliver any of the stuff they need in their diet. Also makes them lazy.

Though I am gonna refit the diesel pump with some sort of isolator. It is rubber mounted but you can really hear the 'donk, donk, donk' as it is working even though it is right under the van
