I know I do not have to tell you, beware of bloat... Lots of yeast in that stuff that is still active !

They will get it over a couple of days, shared between eleven horses.
The only reason I mentioned it is for others to be honest..
Those unaware might give a horse half a fresh loaf thinking they are doing right ( if you see what I mean :) )

Add ducks to that.

That is don't give ducks bread, not don't give ducks to horses.

The latter is fine.

You can give bread to discus in the same way you can give trifle to sparrows.

They will eat it but it's not recommended long term.
You stated “don’t give bread to ducks” bread will not harm ducks, they will just not get the vitamins their diet requires but it will do them more good than starving them.

It will harm them if its stale and hits them on the head when you throw it.

No it won’t ducks are on water & are buoyant so as the stale bread hits them on the head the water will absorb the impact.

Tosh. Friction and duck buoyancy enters the equation so there is not a direct equal and opposite reaction in terms of bread to duck interface.

Anyway,what if they are on land? Or ice?
