In Germany, a 6-year old boy who loved motorcycles was diagnosed with cancer. His family posted online asking if anyone could ride their motorbike past their home, to cheer him up.

They thought 20 or 30 people would come. Nearly 15,000 bikers showed up.

I have done a few bits like that over the years, had my hair cut to the bone to help a lad with autism get a safe sensory room at home, donated and delivered bike bits all over the place for youth projects and helped build stuff with disadvantaged kids along with the usual charity rides easter egg runs etc

Nothing unusual or surprising in any of it i dont think i know any biker who hasnt done the same

I think there's massive difference between bikers and the biking community and certain other types of motorcyclists e.g. RUBs , SQUIDS, weekend warriors, Power Rangers and the like.

This is, as you say, not unusual of the biking community and dare say it.... Scooterists.

Sadly it often gets overlooked by the press unless it's perceived as being disruptive. e.g.holding up traffic, etc.
