Cooking supermarket bacon.

Decide how many pieces you need, if you are making a sandwich don’t forget to allow for shrinkage, if you would normally use three slices of Butcher’s bacon then use at least five slices of supermarket stuff.
Heat a small amount of oil in a pan then add the bacon, after 5 - 10 mins tip the water out of the pan then return pan to heat, add a bit more oil, while this is cooking butter two slices of bread & add desired red or brown sauce, when bacon is burnt to a frazzle remove it from the pan & put it on one of the buttered bread slices, put the other slice on top.
Then your sandwich is ready to eat, final point to note whilst eating the sandwich...No, you haven’t got Covid, supermarket bacon really is tasteless.

People ask me why I drive 400 miles round trip every ten weeks or so to go the family butcher we used in Kent. I point blank refuse to eat supermarket.

Oil ??? i bet you do eggs in oil too !
Bacon should be grilled and eggs 'fried' in water in the frying pan

You forgot to add Brie (Somerset Brie of course) on top of the bacon before placing the top slice of buttered bread on.

No need to add oil, best done in a dry pan. Marcus Wareing says so and it works for me.

I prefer my bacon grilled anyway.

A pal microwaves his and it is truly, truly awful.

Always buy my meat products from my local butcher all locally sourced and prepared, minimum shrinkage on it and very tasty specially the pork sausages.
