Thieving bastards - aggro to follow

Phone call received from my bruv today to advise me that someone had stolen the number plates off my VW Golf today.

Car was parked outside the house and some scumbag decids to help him/ her self. "Looking forward" to the speeding ticketc/ congestion charge PCN`s to come through now. Despite a police reference number I am sure that sorting things will not be straight forward.

Mate of mine had this happen.. he went on to the dvla site and bought any old cheapo 'personal' number straight away.. Not a great way to go but it stopped dead any potential problems !

Happened to us a while back. Waited for the avalanche of tickets etc but never got a single one. Felt a bit of a twat when I reported it to the police though, I couldn`t for the life of me remember what the reg number was.

Don`t know why DVLA don't use the same system as here in Holland,
if you lose your plate you get a new one with an issue nr (1,2 etc) emblazoned on the new plate. So if some scumbag uses the old one at least it prevents a lot of hassle.

cos it's too easy and wouldnt cost much!! :bang: and we all know that ISNT the way things are done here!!

good idea from jaws though, otherwise it will flag up every time you drive past an ANPR camera and you could get stopped by Plod....Lots. you get stopped a thousand times, the thieving little SH1T never gets stopped!! :bang:
