An Irish violinist is to play at Biden's inauguration, she's from Co. Louth.
Biden has roots there.

She was interviewed earlier on radio.
She told the story of her playing in Washington for Joe a few years ago.
He came to talk to her and she mentioned that she was going to phone her mother, 84, he said 'do it now I want to talk to her'
They had a great chat.
He was in Louth a few years later and asked to see the mother. Again they had a great chat with him kneeling on the floor beside her.
Seems he is an ordinary man.

Excuse me for appearing cynical, but most politicians want to be seen as just an ordinary Joe, (see what I did there),down with the kids, got your best interests at heart, etc, etc, and aren’t above using people to foster this image, don’t always translate into the reality you end up with though.
