The Midland Massif ride again

Had a great blat yesterday,, first long one of the year covered 360 miles,, left home at 9.15am ,,met up with Jon & Anya,, Mike & Deb at Bridgnorth Cafe( owe you a coffee Mike) then went to pick up Dave & Ros down the road in South Wales,, Then we decided to go to Weston SuperMare for fish & Chips on the Pier,, watching people swimming in the sea

Lovely day had by all I think,, weather & company were just perfik,,got back home at 8.15pm, pics below, feeling really comfy on my new steed now :-: , shame some of the massif couldn't make it this time,,,,maybe next time Al & B. :k

It was a great day out, good riding and brilliant to see the usual crew again.

Our first day out on the new bird since Dave had his off at the riders skill day in September. Bike handled brilliantly - even at 130mph

Looking forward to meeting up with the gang next Saturday for a few bevvies at ours and then a nice ride out up to Mid Wales to meet up with the rest of the BIRD flock on Sunday. :beer:

What a shame that could have been two Black ones perhaps it was only the South Midlands Massive that got an invite?

Or have we got another breakaway group? perhaps they should call themselves something other than the Midlands Massive......

Still we had a nice ride round South Warwickshire and then a good curry in B'ham after. That one was advertised on the forum!

Yup, a great weekend. Just going to break into the bike thing nice and easy, Saturday saw 157 miles to Shrops's homestead in the middle of bloody nowhere and then a further 310 miles on Sunday. I would say that was a steady, gentle start to the season.

Great to hookup with the mob, hope we can all get together in Welshpool on Sunday.

Funnily enough, we WERE another part of the ORIGINAL midlands massiff, and we are still PROUD to belong to BOTH BIRD & IXXRA(the FIRST blackbird club)

Sorry mate, but thats exactly the kind of attitude which is breaking apart BIRD into smaller groups....

If you have ride outs without letting any but your own little clique know about them, then post them as "missions accomplished, why not expect some comments ... As you can see from above, others would have liked to go as well.

I remember quite a few folks posting on here that there were NO cliques, when I commented about them last year...

As for you thinking Neale had dropped off the face of the earth... If you had kept in touch with folks then you would have known wouldnt you ???

Its exactly the same as Rhino was accusing Clive of with the Northern Cloggers thing...

No no no....... i wasn't accusing 'Clive' of anything as such, its upto the individual who rides with who, i went out Friday with some mates and i've just been out now but didn't invite everyone, its fine to have a group of friends BUT the difference with 'Cloggers' was that it appeared to be recruiting members for a NEW club despite all reasurances that it wasn't.
I honsetly do not have an issue with people riding with who they want but when a website appears for a group of members then i feel that its a deliberate attempt to break up the group, fine, but don't use BIRD to do it.
I fully understand where SHROPS and Co are coming from and :bow: to them for it.

But Jan & I have just come back from the egg run with Clive & Kit, the Northern cloggers, IXXRA guys, and a local biking group which Clive belongs to... It was just what we needed...

Good riding, and no bloody politics....

Cant we just get back to doing that ?????????

Just riding & having a good time...

Its what Jan & I want, and I truly believe its what we all want really...

If not, then.. what next ??

Dave,, sorry m8,, but I think its you with the attitude,, & its you stirring the crap ( as usual I'm afraid) you just read to much into nothing at al FFS.

If we have a ride out,, you are saying I have to post it on the Forum,,, what a load of B*ll*cks,, I ride with who I want to & go where I want to,, If I want to post a ride out on the forum ( which I have many times in the past !) then I will,, it was a sudden decision to go on last weeks ride,, it wasn't planned,, made a few phone calls on the day,, some made it some didn't,, no big deal.

We had a nice day took a couple of pics,, thought I would share it with a few peeps who might be interested,,, again no big deal,,,,( except to you it appears ) & you wonder why Neale is staying away?? you making a song & Dance about phook all I think is the real reason.

glad you & jan enjoyed your ride out today,,,, ours was a bit wet at times,, but enjoyable never the less.

I have to agree with Mark on this one. YOU put yourself into a self imposed exile and as such the group we were riding with got used to not seeing you, so we carried on as normal. YOU always seem to be in the middle of things when differences of opinions are expressed and YOU always decend into doom and gloom mode preaching the end of the world. With regard to "Clique's". It seems that because both Anya and myself have made some
very good and over time, close friends that we choose to spend our leasure time with its managing to get to you. For what reason I cannot fathom at all.

There are other things you arent aware of, as you havent been in touch for such a long time, so please understand that it wasnt my intention to be judge, jury & executioner.

I am sorry I care about things the way I do, and yes, you have the right to ride with who you want, when you want...and be friends with who you want..

But all of a sudden, for no apparent reason, people who I took to be friends suddenly just didnt ask us on rides, call, speak, or PM us... No why's, no explanations. Even folks who live no more than 1/2 mile from us have nothing to do with us...

I dont want to impose on anyone, so thats the end to it..
