When I worked in the kitchen we stopped for the silence on remembrance day, all except a little Asian prisoner who continued to clatter & bang about making as much noise as he can, I called him into the office & told him “if the other prisoners had chosen to stick a knife in you you would expect me to jump in & save you, but you cannot put your prejudice aside & show a bit of respect for two minutes, I served my Country & find your actions abhorrent & totally disrespectful”
He smirked & replied “chill bro, we don’t all agree” I asked him how long he had left to serve & he replied two years, I said “if you survive two years feel free to fuck off back to your oppressive Country” he laughed & said “I was born in Oldham” I informed him that puppies born in stables are still dogs”
