Stick a rack on the topbox. Weight and width are then your limiting factors. We do this regularly, covering thousands of miles 2 up. We don't tend to go subsonic or even 'filter with prejudice' loaded up this way, but as soon as you get there the luggage is taken off and out we go to play.

When we had a dickie bird we used a three man Kyam dome tent. Collapsable legs and put up in 2 mins flat, very handy when its raining!!!! The kit for the bike was 3x50ltr givi boxs with a rack for the tent on the topbox. Baglux on the tank, two up it would still slay the odd porsche carerra from the lights.

Used to use a two man tunnel tent as it fitted inside a 45L Givi, including the poles, but we now have a vis-a-vis 2-bedroom, 4 man tent that you can stand up in the main central part . All fits inside the Givi, except the poles, which we strap onto the top of the backbox.

our biggest tent was a three man with a seperate awning which you could stand or sit in,,, took it to the bash in 2004,, Taffy used the outer bit to service the bikes in,, also took on the bike, a double duvet, blow up double bed, 25 litre water carrier,(collapsable), gas stove,( with spare cylinder), kettle,, ready made coffee & tea ( about 50 cups),,water proofs, change of clothes,, toileties,, oh and Lorna on the back. I think thats all.
