Just see the new offering from Suzuki.. They have gone all the way back to the early 90's with a Katana look alike

Oh, and what do Honda have planed ?
Apart from fiddling with existing stuff , and making a sort of hybrid 125, sweet fanny adams
I think it will be some time before they get over the total world wide disaster that was and is the VF1200 and its siblings.

I remember the Katana from as far back as the 70's and early 80's especially the 1100 and 750 Katana with the air cooled engines.

I liked them back then, and I like the new version. Big improvement on some of the more recent designs from all the manufacturers as too many look the same/identical just with different badges.

At least this looks individual and a bit retro.

I like it.

Being a dyed in the wool Suzuki nut first & foremost I have been discussing this elsewhere with like minded folk, it seems I'm one of the few that like it a lot

I also like the gsx-s 1000 its based on but having owned a couple of original 1100 kats & a 750 pop up for the current s price I'd be hunting down an original 1000 katana to restore ;)

noobie

Clueless in most things
I'd forgotten how skinny and tall the old tyres used to be

Now that I’d like to see!

A mate used to own a 1000 kat years ago & I got to ride it a few times, they are a completely different animal, very free revving, accelerate much harder & a hell of a lot faster, better handling too, sharper while still being stable enough

I haven seen one for sale on 10 years or more as most ended up in private collections but the price even back then
