I Had To Clean It Dave...................

The weight of the crap on her was costing me 20mph on the top end !!!!!!:} :}

When I fitted the screen, I had my doubts......but the more I live with it the better I like it. It's different to most others you see and the texture of the screen matches the seat and the fairing inner panels quite well, so it sort of blends in with the rest of the bike.

Not sure about the rider though !!!!

I sat on steve's bird on the understanding he had it on the centre stand, cos I couldn't touch the floor or hold it up other wise..........:rolleyes:

It's funny really?

Because when I look at photo's of me sitting on my bike I still can't help feeling a sence of achievement, and it brings a warm glowing smile to my face..........:blush:

After all as Steve will confirm, it was only a year & a half ago that I went for my CBT having NEVER ridden a bike myself before, to be told in around about way that id never ride a bike as long as iv got a hole up my arse, cos I just didn't have it in me...........

And here I am now, having passed my test and owning a bike myself, I still can't believe it sometimes......:blush:

Anyway, I love my bike and have no intention what so ever of getting shot of her, despite what some people say about her, although dubious people sitting on her doesn't help.........:} :}

Mrs Hunter here, bikerbabe, and I know where you're coming from. I also had a right shithead for an instructor last August (Still learning now) who took the greatest of pleasure in telling me (repeatedly) 'You'll never ride a Blackbird' having heard that Hunter wanted me to ride his.

Well, I can't even stand it upright from the sidestand, but one day I'm gonna ride his Bird into that school, flip the shithead the finger and ride out again, in slow control at that!

Nothing's guaranteed to make me do something more than someone telling me I can't!:mad: :mad:

GOOD ON YER GIRLS,

:bow: Seems some tossers in these ''riding schools''?????:rolleyes:

just havnt got a clue, I phoned around six different ''schools'' and out of the six only one, had any time to listen,
as soon as I mentioned that it was Tina that wanted the lessons, two of em turned me down flat, and one actually hung up just saying NO, no explenation or owt,!!

needless to say I called back and booked time for two to one education with the twat that dumped the phone, ''WE'' didnt turn up,:blush:

Tina, as yet hasn't done any on road riding but has managed to fall off HER Suzuki GP125, three times already,{no injurys} but she keeps on trying:bow:

cant fault her for trying,:bow: and no damage to the bike,:blush:

Actually.....

with this school, there was only the one areshole (Mrs H again).

The first instructor I had was really great, and very patient with this 45-year-old complete beginner who always forgets to cancel the indicators and nearly dropped the bike in the first few feet!

I have to say that I also complained to the school's owner about the dickhead and I've got another day and a test, free, and two days on a 500 at half price. I made a proviso that I would not go on the road with the shithead again.

And I'm still gonna show the bastard one day, cos hell hath no fury like a woman scorned:bandit: :bandit: :bandit:

I agree with you totally, although I couldn't ride the Bird for a couple of reasons, nothing to do with it being to powerful, but for the shear reason that I can't touch the floor and she's a right heavy beast........:blush: Why I can't even get my kwack on the centre stand......:lol:

People that say "what does it matter, you don't have to touch the floor" in my opinion are Pratt's, sorry if this offends anyone but its my opinion and I'm entitled to it, iv seen many a rider who stops at lights etc and can't touch the floor properly, they've gotta lean the bike to one side just to be able to get a foot down, sorry but that doesn't smack as there in full control of the bike to me.

As for the school you went to, when, not if WHEN you've pasted your test, ride down there and wipe that smug look right of his face !!!

Iv only been riding for just over a year and a half now including the time I spent on a 125 whilst learning, and trust me when I say "as long as it's for you and not to please anyone else then you'll pass no matter how hard it seems", my one weakness was the feet up U turns {bloody stupid maneuver} I had my test and failed and that was the only thing that I failed on, even the instructor said to me he was sorry he had to fail me because my riding was fine but I didn't do the feet up U turn so I had to be failed...........

But I put straight in for another test, because you have to wait two weeks between tests before you can have another go, steve took me out almost every night just doing feet up U Turns, in the end I was sick of them, but on the day of my test, I was real lucky, I had a right nice instructor who I felt at ease with, luck was on my side, feet up U turn no probs did it first time {mind you, you only get one chance at it} and I passed with flying colors, not bad for a bird who was told a few months before hand that she'd never ride a bike........So good luck for the future and keep us informed.

You can do it Girl :yo: :yo:

Re:You can do it Girl

Too bloody right, I can. Mind you, it's the most difficult thing I've ever tried in my entire life. Everything else I've just been able to do, lucky that way, I suppose, but you bastards make it look easy AND IT'S NOT!!!!:bang: :bang:

Could be something to do with age, I suppose.

I've been on pillion since I was about four and everyone thought I'd breeze it. Nope. Fine on positioning, leaning & observations, just bike control that's the bitch!

I think 28 years of car driving first doesn't help, though, especially when I try to accelerate with my right foot:bandit: Good job I'm going slowly then!

I'm getting damn good at getting out of trouble, though. Nearly came a cropper on a few of our many mini roundabouts here in Swindon (they're like a rash here) and managed to miss the kerbs each time by a nits knacker, by leaning. That I CAN do.

I'll get there on my little 125 Baimo

Then I'll get out on my CBR600:-: :-:
