Had a great ride-out to Exford yesterday!

I spent the weekend in the West Country with my girlfriend - had a great time!!
Her friend at work is with a guy that coincidently rides a 'bird. Carol and I had already lined up a short ride on Saturday as she hadn't ridden pillion for a good few years; needles to say she loved it!
She had already spoken with Linda, and, subject to "liking it" arranged a ride-out with her and Charlie for Sunday lunch!

We headed out from Worle and picked up the A38 at Taunton, north-west from there on the A358, through Bishop's Lydeard before bearing left B3224 to Exmoor.

A fantastic road in the most part, if a little narrow in places. Some tight-ish bends not marked-up as such, but good forward planning kept it all together! The views over the moors are truely spectacular - it was dull and overcast for the most part, but never the less the scenery still added value to the journey. We stopped at the White Horse in Exford and enjoyed a Carvery lunch, superb food and great value at ?6.50 per main course!

Charlie and Linda decided to head on to Dunkery Beacon where the 360 views are apparently breathtaking, but I had to get Carol home before getting back to the Mudlands by evening so we parted company part-way back. Carol and I took the same scenic route back and promtly agreed the next time can't come soon enough!

If you're down that way check it out, highly recommended! :lick:
