Hi bird lovers
This subject may have been brought up in the passed, when I picked up my new bird it was on the side stand, gave it the once over it appeared to be spot-on, on getting it home and on the centre stand, right hand silencer was 20m/m higher than the left, foot rest hangers about 15m/m and the rear wheel was off centre to the hanger also, at the first sevice on Wednesday I pointed all this out and am now waiting for a new sub frame,
while wait I had look at three others in the show room 2 were o/k but the 3rd one was also out of line, not what I have come to expect from Mr Honda as my previous two birds were without a blemish, may be something to check if you are thinking of getting a new one
Regards to all

This one has come up before Geordie.

There is a fix involving a lump of 4"x2" timber and a strong friend, I think..... but wait for Jaws to pick up on it cos I can't remember the finer points of the process.

(I am serious) !!!!!!

err it was something along the lines of ...its when a pillion always uses the same side of the bike to mount the bike and they use the rear foot peg to hop onto the bike with...it throws the subframe out and you need to "help" it true again..jaws posted this one up only a few weeks ago in the help section

hold it, this is a new bike, no pillion had set foot on a peg, this is a poor set up at the factory, no quality control on the finished frame, if Honda let this though it is going back to the old days, which a lot you can't rememeber,
when 10m/m out of line was o/k

Geordie...........

............what we're trying to say is............when your pillion mounts [ooh err missus] get them to use your footpeg to get on with. Makes it easier for the little woman to get her leg over..........the scaffolding too, if you have Givi skips fitted.

The subframes are ?never square - they need a bit of 'treatment': apart from black ones, naturally. they're the fastest, so they need to be spot on tolerance wise :yo:
