Just been into town to get Mrs L some witch hazel. Apart from the price, £4.29 which I think is extortionate (but it's her money or it will be when I get it back), I gave the girl behind the counter 4x£1 coins, 1x20p and 1x10p

She took my money, opened the till and picked up a calculator. after 20 seconds, she deposited the cash in the till and gave me my product with 1p change. :BangHead:

WTF did she need a calculator for?

I think if the world did stop, I'd like to stay on it just to see what happens next

So many kids seem to have zero ability to
A) form a full sentence without saying 'So' or ' you know'
B) Perform the most basic maths

So what exactly ARE they doing in school for about 11 or 12 years ?? ( apart from wasting their time and OUR money )

Guy comes into the petrol station where Bev works & puts a tenners worth of petrol in, he hands over a £20 note Bev gives him a tenner change, he goes back to his car then comes back shouting “you’ve not given me enough change, I gave you a twenty” Bev replied “yes & you put £10 worth of petrol in your car” the guy glared at Bev & said “what?” So Bev explained that he’d put a tenners worth of petrol in his car, he replied “yeah & I gave you twenty” so Bev explained that if she gave him another tenner he would have got his petrol for free, the moron just couldn’t grasp it & was convinced he’d been short changed. How do some people manage to function?

at work we often do 3 for 2 offers and trying to explain to people that they get the cheapest one free can be hard work

I'm inclined to give the odd cents to make the change easier - €5 and a 20c for something costing €3.20.
Confuses some of them.

Just in case......so as I get €2 in change:D

When in a mischievous mood I have been known to approach a sales assistant & say “I don’t need three, can I just take the free one?”
