went to see the martial arts star playing with his band (thunderbox) tonight in carlisle. all deep south blues, and he can play guitar a bit (not as good as me!!) his band were ok, brill drummer and two coloured chaps on guitar who could really knock it out, and a hammond organ that was real funky. sound engineer needed a bat on the ear with an iron to improve his frequency appreciation, which might have been the cause of them struggling to get the crowd motivated ,though(it was in carlisle, engerland:dunno: )
i bought his cd which to be fair is good and worth a listen.
but let me tell you, mr seagal has eaten some pies! he had to play the guitar bb king style (side on) there'l be no more mawashi gedi (roundhouse)kicks from him, two feet on the floor is a logistical must!

I once spoke to him on the phone...

I was training a driver (I can picture him now, but cant remember his name) for JS whilst working there, when his mobile rang and he asked me to answer it for him... The guy on the other end asked to speak to the trainee, and when I asked who it was the quiet voice said "Steven..... Steven Seagall"...

Turns out the trainee driver used to be his motorhome driver on the film locations, and was a good friend..

Also seen him in his last film... he had eaten most of the pies by then too Shaun...:bang:

Shame, as I was such a fan of his...

Hope the gig content was good , if not the sound.
