plenty on ebay etc but when you ask if they have been pat tested you dont get an answer which tells you a lot

H&S policies at work. Insurance and fire
risk protocols etc...
When I fail an appliance at work, it's like
the feckin Spanish inquisition.
I just tell them that the PAT console never
lies and it doesn't tell me WHY it's failed
a device.

I always thought a pat tester was someone who analysed cow shit.

There was raffle here some years back. They gridded a field and sold the squares. A cow was let loose and in whichever square the cow dumped was the winner.
It was popular as a fund raiser.

Probably are to their own standards? but the chinky stuff is of a piss poor quality and unless it's got the BS1363 stamped on it, then it gets a fail.
