Ha ha, I won't disappoint you then.

She wasnt necessarily a good egg, but she was better than the shower of chinless wonders we have now:-0)

Come on you Hatters
News is full of it, and how good she was. Out of respect doubt they'll pass on the feelings of many thousands that suffered under her.

I have mixed feelings. Some of what she did this country needed, like getting unions under control. But I hate the way the country has been sold off and the way everybodys out for what they can get. Her legacy will continue to last for many decades yet!!

Right or wrong, she was a conviction politician and did what she believed was right, rather than what the spin doctors thought was good for votes. I admire that far more than the limp wristed shite we've got on both sides of the house today.

A few will cheer, a few will mourn - most politicians will cry crocadile tears and continue screwing our lives up.

RIP Mrs T.

Not one to dance on anyones grave, my belief is that she was responsible..

for the breakdown in society in the UK, for leaving whole areas of the country without any industry and for cultivating the "I'm alright Jack" culture as opposed to social responsibility and citzenship.

I am not sure she did what she believed was right. more like strategic moves to stay in power - union smashing and starting wars p0pc0rn41

I am not one for politics as they are all as bad as each other and none of them are capable of making a promise they can keep and all of them are only interested in what is in it for them, but! I for one am sorry to see her passing, but then I am one of those who benefited when she was in charge.

As someone mentioned at least she stood up for her beliefs and convictions unlike the Communists (sorry labour party) idiots that followed subsequently.

And apparently it is not a state funeral, just a ceremonial funeral as per the Queen Mother.

Never knew there were so many communists (sorry labour supporters) in the UK!

equating labour party with communists is bonkers. not that they ever have been communists but at the moment that are about as far removed from the left as they ever have been (left wing tories!).

and I don't care what type of funeral it is as long as they make sure she can't get out.

Talking of which
In the main she fucked us over big time. The misery of the poll tax, she broke the backs of the Unions, so now they are but toothless tigers. I can only think of the bad things her & her cronies did for us, & against us.

True she did stick it to the Argies, but wouldn't any leader have done the same?

She made it easy for the rich to get richer, while holding the throat of the have not's, then turned it around & kicked the poor in the teeth.

Now we foot the bill for a fuck off big funeral, so she has the last laugh...............at our expense, again.

good looking AND modest
Well good or bad, at least we knew where we stood with her, this lot, and all that have been since I wouldn't give them the stink of me shit!
with her we actually got paid FROM the EEC, now we are giving it all back and shed loads more!!:dunno: she could have negotiated with the miners to close certain pits till they became "profitable" again (like now would be good)!! but no, both sets had to wave their willys about rather than think about it!!:dunno:
still 87 was a good innings!!@tu*

R.I.P Maggie.

Loved by some, loathed by others.

People say that she cocked it up for the unions, but It needed doing. Industry was on its knees anyway due to the ' all out brothers' attitude .

She got money out of the EEC, not arranged to pay into it.
But some of her Governments systems were terrible ( poll tax).

I just wish the lot we have now had just part of one of her balls!

For someone who's not for politics TC you do have some views. For Labour voters see the number of years Blair was in and why there is a hung Parliament now!
