I’ve got a gallon or more of extremely old, stale petrol in the Triton fuel tank - where do I get rid of it?

When we were clearing out the garage last year I had a 20L jerrycan full of old petrol to dispose of.
What a feckin' palaver that turned out to be...

The local recycling centre wouldn't take it... oil only. The regional hazard waste centre didn't want it either.
I tried local garages but most weren't interested. Those that were would only take up to 5L and wanted £5 to £10 to do so.
I found one company online who bought old oil. They wanted £30 and couldn't collect for a month.
In the end I mixed it with old engine oil that I was also disposing of (some from my neighbour) and took it to the local recycling centre as oil for disposal.

Got any areas that you are trying to keep weed free ?
We have communal seating / tables out in the square
Under them there are small patches of dirt that weed upAnd stale petrol gets put on the dirt/weeds
Pongs a bit for about an hour but soon clears and the weeds die off for a couple of months

Got no weeds here.

it looks like I’ll add it to old oil bit by bit and take it to the tip.
