Spiders in IRAQ.........

Samster

Look at this! Wooooaaaaahhhhh!

My father used to work all over the middle east and I'm pretty sure that these are what he used to refer to as "Camel Spiders".........if they are the same thing then they can run REALLY fast and sometimes would swarm his camp in groups of between 50 and 100 as they were attracted to the fire..............I don't think they are venomous though................

I'd definately shit it if a load of them came running towards me - how about the rest of you? :puke:

I always thought the tarantulas were the largest spiders. Biggest about 6" across including legs. This one looks to have 16 legs, so has someone been at the photoshop again or is it two tarantulas that have just mated and the female was in the middle of eating her "hide the sausage" partner?

I think we may have been had!

I think the biggest spider is the Trinidadian Tree Spider isn't it?? Just slightly bigger than a Pink-Toed Goliath Tarantula apparently.

Nowhere near the size of those things above which are held close to the lens of the camera perhaps....
