attended a lovely pre-wedding dinner last night for 32, all paid for by the groom's dad.

Everyone agreed in advance that we would stick to beer and wine to keep the cost sensible and have a whip round after to give a few quid back as a 'thank you' for the dinner.

One couple, related to the groom's mother, had EIGHT gin and tonics at £9.50 each during the evening and f*ck*d off before the final reckoning.

As they say, you can pick your friends, you can't pick your relatives.

Now, what the hell do you do in Wrexham to kill a few hours before the wedding.....

And the happy couple said they didn't want gifts but asked for contributions to be made via JustGiving to a hospice that means a lot to them....one guess who hasn't donated.......

Well, you did ask what to do to kill a few hours in Wrexham. Go find that pair of twats and give them a piece of your mind. That should be highly appealing to a cantkerous, argumentative individual such as yourself :p

Just don't see how you can be critical of others when you haven't donated yourself....

Hmm, a defensive reaction, looks like I could have pricked a conscience here with my tongue in cheek post.

For the record, I donate to causes that are personal to me & I would not criticise anybody for not donating to them.

It is possible they made an anonymous donation?
Me and the missus went to a wedding about 3 weeks ago. In lieu of gifts they also preferred to have donations made to a local hospice. I duly went on a link on my wifes facebook page and made a £50 donation. I wished the happy couple all the best etc and said how good it was to give this money in their name to St Catherine's Hospice. I clicked on my wifes name to say she had donated it but when the transaction went through it came up as anonymous. I know I will never see that wing of the family again until a funeral or wedding etc, but even so I hope they dont make the assumption that we never gave a donation. They had raised £2800 according to the write up in the local paper(y)

Nope.

Only ine anonymous donation made by the friends we travelled with...who rather brilliantly added their names to the comments they left on JustGiving:gaydude:

It was also a bit rubbish at the reception when the (Welsh) father of the groom rightly felt it necessary to ask anyone who was watching the rugby on their phones to either switch them off or go outside during the speeches. I know the Welsh love their rugby but.......
