...you wear glasses (or sunglasses) and your car's airbag goes off?

Apart from the obvious issues with the fact you have been in an accident and glasses may be the last of your worries, just wondered, do they normally smash? Glass in your eyes?????? :dunno:

Normal lenses for corrected vision are no longer made from glass, they're plastic.

As for sunglasses, if they're declared as "driving" sunglasses, I understand they're also made with plastic lenses

I have to wear glasses sometimes due to some ignorant nigger throwing bleach in my face when I was a doorman. The upshot of it was the removal of my cornea's by burning - not recommended. However, I now suffer with light and the only way to "filter" the light is to wear glasses with a coated glass lens. If I am wearing these when driving and the air bag is set off am I going to get glass in my eyes??:dunno:
