Charity and benevolence are part of being a 'civilised' society.
However, when I come to power I will immediately stop contributions to countries with space programmes amongst other things.
And make amazon, Starbucks, etc., pay sensible tax on U.K. Profits.

When I’m PM, first thing I’m going to do is fill the channel tunnel with horseshit and block our end with concrete. Anyone without a National Insurance number gets deported. I’ll stop all foreign aid (with the exception of places that get trashed by hurricane, earthquakes, etc) for as long as it takes to get our NHS waiting lists down, build a few more hospitals, and some properly run care homes for the elderly. I’m seriously thinking of building purpose-built prison ships and mooring them in the Irish Sea, Bristol Channel and North Sea, too.

I don't knowingly contribute to any charity that sends money or good overseas & always think that if everyone else did the same then people in those countries would get of their arses & sort their own shit out one way or the other & it they don't well tough luck !
As for those charities that demand X amount per month , well feck that I decide what I will give & when !
Then there is those begging ad's eg poor little (made up name) walks 5 miles for water every day & its contaminated so we need a million quid to build a well ............. err no you don't get the lazy feckers to dig a hole that's a well, people have been doing it for millions of years it works if they don't shit in it or let their animals shit in it & while you are at it stop having a dozen kids you cant support !
