it's a shame but at least she will be re-cycled
The shame is the corrupt Indian Government, after promising her to the team who wanted to turn her into a museum they did a quick about turn & sold her for £2m less to the scrappers, she is the longest serving armed warship in the World & as someone who was proud to serve on her I am absolutely gutted that this is how it ends for the old girl.

It is indeed a shame.

One thing that leapt out at me reading the article was that the Falklands affair was referred to as a 'war'. And there was me thinking it was a 'conflict' for all these years :rolleyes:

Used to be a great pub quiz question Who was Prime Minister when the UK last declared war? Everyone kept saying Thatcher which was wrong as we never declared war. As you say it was merely a conflict which is why there was never a peace treaty either.
By the way the correct answer was Chamberlain.
