Tonight I had a couple of coding problems to sort out..... sitting there with the laptop, bottle of salted caramel baileys to hand.....
working away and taking the occasional swig from the bottle.............
Got it all sorted out, uploaded to the web sites.. job done..
Went to stand up and THEN found out how I had drunk !
Chewing carpet, arse in the air.. giggling like a demented thing

Yup, drinking Baileys is like drinking milk shake.

Until you try and stand up.......

Works a treat on the mother-in-law at Xmas, especially after a starter of mulled wine.....

Had something similar when drinking Tequila slammers in the NAAFI, for the first time.
After a few I slid off the bar stool to go for a wee. Top half was moving but the bottom half was anethsetised. Result - face first onto a nearby table which launched several beer glasses into space. That cost me 2 rounds of drinks to keep the peace, plus a weeks ban from the NAAFI.

Gawd knows.... What is stranger is that when I do get on one ( not often nowadays ) I can see off a bottle of whisky, then start on her white rum, and still remain standing..
Yet a 1/4 bottle of Baileys ( which I think is only about 15% proof ) had me giggling and falling over !

Pussers Rum is ace, every trip we had to Gib I always went in to the rock hotel & drank pussers original, I can never remember leaving the hotel.

The older I get the less alcohol I drink.

These days I am perfectly happy drinking in company/socially, but rarely touch the stuff otherwise.

I bumped into,a chap that I vaguely know a few days ago,just as he was going into his house - he lives alone- carrying two four packs of lager....with a big grin he said he was going to spend the afternoon drinking it while watching the football. Struck me how sad it was.
