Watched the BBC at lunchtime and they were reporting on kids returning to school.

Why the thread title.?

I avoid the news these days. However, flicking through Apple News yesterday and I saw a few kids with headscarves outside a primary school in London.

Sooner the little shits go back, maybe their lazy-arse parents will go back to work and the high street will open up and get the economy moving again.

I see your point but as we are bringing up my granddaughter I have to say them going back at the moment is a scary prospect for any parent who cares, lets face it keeping kids apart as they are supposed to be doing is akin to herding cats so I am expecting some outbreaks of the virus within a few weeks, I just hope to fuck its not here & we are not affected :(

There's always some exceptions, mate. When I wrote "...lazy-arse parents will go back to work...", I meant the twats that complain that it's not safe for the kids to go back to school and not safe for them to go to work yet they're quite happy to sit on a beach shoulder to shoulder with complete strangers. Or piss off on a plane somewhere, sat shoulder to shoulder with complete strangers, to sit on a beach shoulder to shoulder with complete strangers. The mind boggles.

Schools are doing all sorts of things to segregate kids in school.
Yesterday I saw a group hanging out after school all on top of each other. No social distancing at all.

School nearby has closed after a few days because a teacher has had contact with a virus so all teachers are out.

2 schools in Dublin closed also because kids had virus.

Spokesman on radio saying 'we are doing everything to protect children and teachers. He never mentioned protection vulnerable parents. Lots of cases mentioned on radio shows of parents with serious medical problems. It's shocking to hear how many.

Don’t forget there are thousands of schools back where there doesn’t appear to be an issue - it’s easy to focus on exceptions.

not so easy to find the balance between being safe and returning to ‘normality’ though
