Yesterday, I made my first visit to Sherburn.
Quite impressed but not a matlock bath.
Reminded me more of The Anchor pub in Oakerthorpe on a Thursday night.

I was wondering if anyone one else was there around 3-ish
Looked for anyone with the Bird XX logo but didn't spot any.

Being the shy, retiring type didn't want to go accosting any old bird riders willy nilly!!!

Wednesday night/sunday morning

is best for Sherburn, but only if the weathers good,
don't be frightened of saying hello to any ''Bird'' riders there, I do all the time,
so they are used to ''strange'' people talking to them,

You may come across quite a few ixxra riders, as they use Sherburn as a ''splitting up''/meeting point, there are some good people among them, and have always had time for a chat,
a word of warning though, don't tell them you know Bert, as he is ''persona non grata'' with ixxra old timers for some reason, :dunno:

Didnt make Sherburn on Saturday but I was there Sunday and this morning too (prior to a quick trip to Scarborough).
Sunday morning was pretty busy but it looked as though it was an organised IAM ride from York as it emptied fairly soon after we arrived. (Maybe I should just change my aftershave!)

maybe you could come over with me to the next ''Clogger's ride out'' it's a cracking ride and you could meet some of ''T'' lad's and lass'es

That would be great, Poll and I normally do our own thing and get a bit limited to our trips out as we both work shifts and struggle to get days off together.

The bit which gets me worried is when you are airborn and there is a 90 left literatly feet away....the brakes don't work well in the air
