One that really winds me up “how do you feel in yourself?” How would you know how you’d feel in someone else? Bloody stupid saying & one my eldest brother uses nearly everytime he sees me.

Just to keep Jaws happy.
Mick meets Paddy in the street in the village.
Mick says "Are you not gone home yet"

Maybe it was Sean(John) who met Paddy :D

Or it could be Sean and Seamus
John and James and probably a Kelly.
O Ceallaigh

And for homework pronounce Siobhán.

Kerry people are supposed never to answer a question but respond with another.
Guy decides to trap a Kerryman.
In Ireland we substitute Kerrymen for Paddy.

He stops a guy in the street and pointing at the post office says "is that the post office over there" thinking that the answer has to be a yes or no.
Response....."is it a stamp you'd be looking for"

A lot of language here is translation from Irish where the grammatical construction puts the verb at the end of the sentence.

I think you'll find that is common amongst the Scots and Welsh too, as well as certain parts of England.

Siobhán - pronounced "Shivon".
