if you go to Romania you can easily recognise the Roma, they’re darker and treated as second class citizens, have difficulty getting employment , does that sound familiar? Discriminated against and can often be seen begging in extremely poor districts - my recollections are over 10 years old and so maybe out of date.
It was like that when I used load back to the UK from there! You could tell them apart as they normally traveled on a horse and cart and the kids had home made shoes! or no shoes in some cases!
