Filtering traffic is also a no no in Germany, I got away with it but was advised that I could have been nicked, A German bike will be nicked. Some car drivers also don't like the idea of a filtering bike and will try and block you, I had a Merc trying to block me filtering and nearly ended up twatting the guy as he nearly had me off.
I did wonder what was going on passing a group of about 20 german bikers all sat patiently in the traffic as I sailed through, got to the cause of it 5km down the road , an accident with police in attendance, and was waved through by a very nice policeman who I thought at the time had a suprised look on his face as I approached.

Having said that, I do occasionally "forget" and zip to the front of the queue, Hans und Gerti don't always complain though ........
