Scottish BASH Activity Update

Okay potential fellow BASHers !

Been organising the weekend rideout activities so thought I'd let you know whats been confirmed.

On the Saturday we will be visiting the Glenfiddich Distillary during the main ride out BUT we are limited to the first 53 places as there is a limit on the number we can take in one go (assuming we get that many coming!)

I have therfore booked the 53 places for a 2.30pm Tour which of course includes a snifter after !

For those who are still with us on the Sunday, it looks like the local Motor Museum will be holding their Motorcycle Convention.

Go to EVENTS then GRAMPIAN MOTORCYCLE CONVENTION
I thought this was more acceptable than the Activity Centre previously mentioned due to the cost, nobody said they fancied that so this is probalby a better bet. There are usually hundreds of bikers from all over the area who go there.
I've been to a few of these and there is lots to see including the usual Mad Moped races. If you look at the link abouve and see whats happenend in the past.

I appreciate some of you will have to sod off home on the Sunday but the Convention is on from 11.00am to 5.00pm so if you want to spend some time there and then head off its fine. I intend to make this part of the Sunday Ride Out to Deeside, so if anyone want to stay at the Convention and make their own way back to Fyvie thats not a problem. We can sort the details out later.

Hopefully more news as I get it, if anyone has anything in particular they want to do/see just let me know.

Nah everyone can stay as long as they want !!

Marquee and bogs will be taken away on Monday so until then the place is ours !!

I only mentioned that in case some bods needed to be away on the Sunday but Monday is when it is officially finished.


Got a nice Ride Out planned for the Sunday as well as the Motorcycle Convention down along Royal Deeside so if anyone does go then they'll miss our Royal Appointment !!

Fantastic News !

Just been speaking to the organisor of the Grampian Motorcycle Convention, you may well have heard of him, its Robbie Allan who has been Racing for years and even competed in the Dakar this year at the grand age of 65 !

Anyway he has just told me that the Purple Helmets will be there on the 6th September !

Also I discussed the possiblitiy of us entering a Moped in the Moped Marathon that is held every year, he thought it would be a great idea and he also thinks the Moped Marathod may be also invaded by the Purple Helmets !

So if anyone wants to organise a Moped to go into the Marathon then there's your chance. Maybe have one for BIRD and one for IXXRA guys. Its held on the track and each Moped has a team of riders who swap over during the race, its a brilliant laugh.

If you go to GRAMPIAN MOTORCYCLE CONVENTION to see this years event (go to EVENTS) but next years will be even better !

So if some of you want to get together to prepare a Moped for the Marathon just let me know. Robbie will be in touch again and as soon as I know more about costs (which won't be much) I can pass it on.

Another update !

Got an adult Magician, Disco and Karaoke booked for the Sunday night now as well, he's supposed to be shit hot and wanders around the audience doing his stuff, hope he's prepared for the worst !!!
