Scary Bike this Blackbird !

As the weather has been icy for a while I had been using the F800GS to commute on for the last few months.
However I needed to sort something out at home this morning and as Aberdeen was the warmest place in Britain today (year right!) I got the old girl out for the 30 mile run to work.

Kinell I forgot how cooking smooth and fast the old girl is !

Normally I'll cruise around 75/80 on the GS on the commute on the A Roads, I thought I was tootling along this morning, looked down and it was, er, 110 !!

Had to use a LOT of restraint which was just as well cos a few miles up the road, on a mile straight was a Piggy Radar Van.

Still I did manage to let her rip in a few of the quieter places !

For an old Bird she's pretty useful !!

I really do sympathize with you as a new bird owner I regularly enjoy a nice A road only to glance down and realise I'm in triple digits when usually I'd be in the 70-80 region.

I'm still learning how to ride this bike, 66mph seems so slow. I love it though, smoothness and refinement is second to none. Someone once discribed riding the bird like flying around on a very fast cloud, now I know what he meant!! R#?

And when there is a flock of Blackbirds at the McBASH its awsum !!!

Oh yeah and some other bikes that make up the numbers !!
