Can you be a bit clearer Pow? :D

Last night Mick, I went through that list you put forward and replied to every question, took me around half an hour, then went to post the questions with the replies and the site said no, not above 10,000 characters

If I can cover just a couple of points to show how much that list is biased and mostly untrue

You mentioned gallileo and we will not be part of it, possibly. The world mostly uses the American gps system and no real issues but the eu commission in wanting the united states of europe demanded they have their own and so project gallileo. When they threaten us with no access, what they forget is to complete the world circle they need access to 2 island stations, one on the falklands and one on the ascension islands, both are British dependencies :D. I've seen most recently that the aussies want to join us and create our own which would make sense given both are in 5 eyes. So when you say, Oh no we will lose sat nav through gallileo, truth is, no one is currently using gallileo and we will carry on using gps so we haven't lost any ability at all

You also mentioned the european arrest warrant, it's true-ish we will/might lose it. I doubt it given they want access to our intelligence services but lets say we do lose it. Europol was like the gallileo project, the eu under the want for a united states of europe wanted their own interpol so created europol. Interpol however still exists, covers europe and many many other countries too. If we lose access to the european arrest warrant under europol, we retain the red flag system under interpol which is exactly the same thing.

Pretty much the rest of your list is like this mick, in that they try to sell as only the eu can and does give us what we need when often we can do better ourselves, use existing standards and can be better

Well, he comes on here spouting his Orwellian, doom-mongering, bullshit and then returns a few days later pissing and whining that he's been abused. Diddums, poor love. No-one abused him, apart from Cougar saying he might get a nosebleed (shocking, half hour on the naughty step for you, young man!) and then he has the cheek to call me dense. Cheeky bastard! I suppose at 6'1" and 14st 7lb I am pretty dense but that's not what fuck nuts meant. Cheeky, cheeky, bastard!

I therefore maintain that he should fuck off and live in Belgium with the rest of the Eurotwats and that he is indeed a bell-end. And a cheeky bastard.

Gallileo is a bit of a white elephant anyway. I've spent the last 10 years or so selling and supporting hardware and software for asset, field and tree surveying purposes. You can attain levels of accuracy down to a few centimetres with what's available off the shelf accessing both the Amercian GPS and Russian GLONASS satellite constellations, plus an RTK subscription service or similar.

Gallileo brings nothing new, so I'm afraid Mick has applied both barrels to his tootsies on that one.

Saw documentary on truck crossing Europe last night.
Truck was held up at Switzerland because truck was 10 centimetres too high.:eek:Company owner said it can happen at much smaller figures

Switzerland is the cleanest country with the nicest, most courteous and well behaved people I have ever visited.

Maybe there is something in it.....

I dunno. Never been to the country so can’t comment but the few German Swiss I’ve met have all been twats. The French and Italian Swiss I’ve met were ok though.

The numerous German Swiss I met and worked with were awesome.

What other nationality could you get to start using phrases like 'the elephant in the room ' and 'it's like nailing a jelly to the ceiling' during technical discussions(y)

I bought my mate an Elephant for his room, he said “thanks” I said “don’t mention it.”

Proves they're twats cos they don't listen. I taught them "it's like nailing a jelly to a window" :asz:

I once got an Indian surveyor to describe a dodgy ballast pump as "sounds like two skeletons wanking in a biscuit tin".

One of the funniest ones I heard was an Asian Doctor visiting a family in Chickenley (Beirut) near Dewsbury, he went upstairs to see the elderly bed ridden patient, he came down & solemnly stated “I’m afraid your father has kicked the bucket” he was chased from the house, it was later discovered that he’d over heard a conversation where someone said “so & so has kicked the bucket” he asked what it mean’t.
